What the price covers
One flat price for two weeks. It includes the totes, the dolly or dollies, a sheet of labels and zip ties per tote, delivery to your door, and pickup from the new address. Sales tax is added at checkout. A refundable deposit of $60 is charged with the rental and returned to the same card after pickup, provided the totes come back clean and complete.

What the alternatives cost
Cardboard. Forty medium boxes from a hardware store run about $80 to $120, plus tape, paper and an hour of assembly. They hold less than a tote, they cannot be stacked full without crushing, and they go in the recycling when you are done. A 1-bedroom move usually needs 50 to 60 boxes, so the real number is closer to $150 with supplies.
Per-day crate rental. Rental crates priced by the day typically run about $0.35 per crate per day, plus a delivery charge of $15 to $30 each way. Forty crates for 14 days at that rate is about $196 plus $30 to $60 in delivery, and the bill grows every day the move runs long. Our packages are a flat two weeks, and a late return costs one extra week at the package rate, not a day count.
Pick-up-yourself crate programs. Some national programs rent crates from a counter you drive to and return to. Before you count on one, check where the nearest counter actually is: for Rochester it may be a long drive, and you make the trip twice.
How to pick a size
Count rooms, not square feet. A kitchen takes 12 to 15 totes, each bedroom 8 to 10 each, a living room 6 to 8, closets and linens 4 to 6.
