What people use them for
- Apartment and house moves. Pack room by room, label the end of each tote, roll the stack to the truck.
- Student move-in and move-out. A dorm fits in one small package; see the college pages.
- Office moves. One tote per desk, name on the label, nothing lands on the wrong floor.
- Weddings and events. Haul decor, centerpieces and supplies to the venue and back, nothing crushed, nothing taped.
Questions about pricing
How many totes do I need?
More than you think. A 900 sq ft one-bedroom usually takes 40 to 50 totes once the kitchen and closets are counted. Our packages are sized for a real move, and the calculator on this page will get you close. When in doubt, size up; unopened totes come back with us at no charge.
What is included in the price?
Every package price covers the totes, the dollies, labels and zip ties, delivery and pickup for two weeks. Sales tax and a refundable deposit are added at checkout.
How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?
The deposit slides with the package, from $75 for a dorm to $300 for the largest office package, plus a small amount per extra tote or dolly. It is refunded to your card within 5 business days of pickup, less any charges under the rental agreement.
Do I need to show ID?
Only for larger orders: packages of 70 totes or more and office packages include a quick ID check after payment, run by Stripe on your phone. Returning customers with a clean record skip it.
How much are extra weeks and extra totes?
Need more time? Extra days are 9% of your package price per day, extra weeks 45%; you always pay the lower of the two. Extra totes are $4 each for the two weeks, or in bundles of 5, 10 and 15.
Why rent totes instead of buying my own?
Because nobody wants to store 40 totes after the move. Buying a 1-bedroom's worth of bins costs about the same as renting ours for two weeks, and then they live in your garage until the next move, if the lids haven't wandered off. Renting gets you commercial crates with attached lids, a dolly, delivery to your door and pickup from the new place, and when you're done they're gone. Cardboard has its own problem: it goes soft when it's wet and it attracts pests when it sits. We clean and sanitize every tote between rentals, so you get the plastic without the storage.
